My 39th Birthday Bucket List

pinkbucket1 My 39th Birthday Bucket ListThis past week was CRAZY!  Below is a list I meant to put up on my birthday….#39.  

It’s my “things to do before I’m 40 bucket list!” and it would be PINK if it were a real bucket.

I haven’t written in a few days as I spent my birthday and just about every other spare moment over the past two weeks re-studying for my RD exam, which I originally took and passed in 1996 after my internship program. 

And then, I spent a few days after my test spending time with my family and getting out of the weeds (AKA catching up on all of the things I got behind on.)

Because my career took me in another direction for a while I did not keep up with my CEU credits, I had to re-sit for the exam to get my official RD credentials back.  For those reading who are unfamiliar with what a Registered Dietitian is and why a Registered Dietitian is different from somebody who calls themselves a “Nutritionist” READ THIS.

Anyway, I’ve been 39 for a week now and I’m thrilled to report, that 3 days after my 39th birthday, I completed the BIG item on my bucket list.  I am officially a Registered Dietitian again!

Woo hoo…that 2 1/2 hour exam is over and when I pushed the submit for test results button…the message, “Congrats…You Passed!” came up on the computer screen.  I danced out of the testing center all the way home.

  1. Take my RD exam and PASS!
  2. Start a regular workout routine.
  3. Go to Disney World with my family.
  4. Become and official member of my church.  FYI, I’m the foursquare mayor, but still not a “member.”
  5. Start Vlogging.
  6. Visit the Bucks County Wineries.
  7. Make plans for my bathroom re-do.
  8. Fix or replace that silly cat door….The previous owners of my house had a cat.  And there is this hole in our garage door- that has to go.  My dog does not fit through it and it is UGLY
  9. Paint the Dining Room
  10. Develop an App (details soon)
  11. Get pictures taken with my family…you know before I’m an “old lady of 40″ & while my kids are still cutie patooties.
  12. Make an Eye Doctor Appointment.
  13. Make an appointment for a mammogram.
  14. Send my book to at least 3 Publishers for reprint.
  15. Start family game nights (putting dates on the calendar) before my kids get too big or too busy to hang out with us.
  16. Follow my dreams…
  17. Be Home with my kids, working from home, no more pharma/biotech world with all of that travel
