Philabundance- Share the Harvest

youshareharvest Philabundance Share the HarvestBelieve it or not, there are almost a million people in the Delaware Valley who face hunger each day.

Sadly, fruits and vegetables are the first things cut from the grocery list when money is tight.   Donations from local gardens are an amazing way to increase essential sources of good nutrition to those in need and help them eat right.

If you are a gardener with a big heart and/or a ton of tomatoes & cucumbers in your Garden, Philabundance: Share the Harvest is asking for extra fruits and vegetables from your gardens to donate in their fight against hunger in the Philadelphia/Delaware Valley area. If you are not a gardener, but a patron of some of the Local Farmers Markets please pick up a few extra veggies to donate!

This program started Saturday- July 9th and will run through September 24th.  Drop off locations are set up at THESE LOCATIONS every Saturday from 10:00 until 12:00.

* Note: All Share the Harvest drop-off sites will be closed on Saturday, September 3rd.
