Royal French Cooking Lessons-Montreal Canada

Submitted by

princessKate Royal French Cooking Lessons Montreal CanadaHow cute is Princess Kate in her Chef Jacket?  Prince William and Princess Kate just visited Montreal’s top cooking school, Institut de tourisme et d’hotellerie du Quebec and took French Cooking Lessons.

A Cooking student showed Kate how to make  “amuse-bouche of foie gras on a toasted brioche with apple cider jelly.”  In other words, duck or goose liver pâté (Personally, I am not a fan)  Anyway, Foie gras is a popular and well-known prince william 4 320 Royal French Cooking Lessons Montreal Canadadelicacy in French cuisine.  Princess Kate told reporters after her cooking lessons that. “She said she likes to cook, but does not do fancy things.”  Maybe that was her polite way of saying she doesn’t like foie gras either!

I was thinking after the Princess’ adventure with with Duck Liver, she and Prince William need a treat like a cupcake lesson in the US.  How fun would that be to see William and Kate visit Georgetown Cupcake for a Royal baking and cake decorating lesson with Katherine and Sophie!

If you were a Princess, who would you like to take cooking lessons from?  Emeril Lagasse? Lidia? Paula Dean?

I’m not sure who I would choose!  I do know that if I were a Princess 10 years ago, I would have loved to spend some time with Julia Child.  She’s funny, confident, un-rehearsed and real true Diva in the kitchen.  Fun Fact: I also happen to share a birthday with her.

“Moderation. Small Helpings. Sample a little bit of everything.  These are the secrets of happiness and good health.” -Julie Child-

Julie Child lived until 2 days prior birthday 92- August 13, 2006!
